TEAMTG: REFRESHINGLY DIFFERENT™

OmniRune’s labrador retriever was recently found ingesting large amounts of rose fertilizer and was recently upgraded from critical condition. Unfortunately, during this time he has neglected his commanding abilities and have slipped even more in their one active game (Legions: Fallen Empires). His dog is making a slow but rapid recovery and should be 100% in the coming weeks.

Due to this emergency, OmniRune’s finances have been completely shot and the LAN Party for June has been canceled. It will be posted if another LAN party will take its place in the coming months.

Otherwise, OmniRune’s housewarming party has been rescheduled for 5/27 and you are invited to attend. You can visit the facebook page and mark your attendance.

Wilko has hopped onto the Brute wagon and has been single-handedly slapped by OmniBrute’s keyboard. Yeah. BAM in the face.

We have a game this weekend folks. Let me know if Saturday or Sunday is best for you at 7 Pacific / 10 Eastern. We’re playing against bytor’s team so it should be a lot of fun.

It was a sleepy afternoon in IRC during TeamTG’s week rest for easter break. Disrupting our sleepy hiatus, Mais enters the room and proudly proclaims his superiority to our non-brute bearing members:

And so the call for action started. OmniRune takes up the challenge and creates his level one brute. He fights a few guys and notices that he has one more challenge left for the day. Noticing Mais weighing in at level 4 and himself at a measly level 2, he takes the bait anyway. Throwing caution to the wind, OmniRune’s brute is pummeled by Mais by a stick and then is stabbed with said stick when Mais’ brute becomes frustrated and hurls it across the arena. OmniRune’s brute, wounded but not down, opens a can of whoopass and strikes the Mais brute. Over. And over. With a four-strike combo, OmniRune’s brute is declared the victor.

Bam. I’ll have Legions news as soon as it comes in.

Unlike 2007, it seems like we were able to make it through April Fools Day without losing any members over our “new name.”

We have a match against Team Euro on Saturday at 12 Noon Pacific / 3 PM Eastern. All I know right now is we are playing the Core.

I am excited to announce that after our monthly executive committee meeting, TeamTG is formally announcing its new name: TeamTetrisGotham. We feel that this name reflects the character of our members and in the spirit of keeping in alignment with other organizations brushing up their logos and wordmarks, we have updated our logo and top banner to reflect our new identity.

Moving forward, we are asking each of you to adopt a favorite tetris color and shape. When you have one chosen, let us know so that we can change your call sign. For instance, if previously you were called Wilkopolis and are particularly fond of orange and the straight-line tetris piece, you will now be called OrangeStraight.

Again, welcome to the new era, TeamTetrisGotham!!

Attention TeamTG Legionnaires!

Our first Fallen Empires Legions competitive game against Team [oWa] will take place on Monday, March 9th, 2009. This will be a 7-man operation that requires you to be on our official roster to take part of the game. Preference will be given to those players who have attended practice and know the established TG positions for the playfield.

Heading up O-COMM, OmniRune is joined by Webber, Wilko and Mais. In D-COMM, Warrior is assisted by BT14 and DolkaPots. I hope to have the players with unestablished positions defined during tonight’s practice.

Speaking of which, there is practice tonight, March 2, 2009 at 7 PM pacific / 10 PM eastern. As before, jump into the TG ventrillo server (8.9.2.139:3824) and get some Fallen Empire Legions gaming goodness on.
