TEAMTG: REFRESHINGLY DIFFERENT™

BT14’s first brush with TeamTG industries was pre-ordained. Unknown to him, a celestial event occurred on his birthday that forever linked… heh, just kidding.

It was a warm summer afternoon in Mount Pleasant, Michigan at Central Michigan University. BT14 just arrived at the Woldt Residence Halls to unload his belongings. In room 021, BT14’s life was forever changed — for that was the day he met OmniRune. Linked by a mutual friend, NightHawk, OmniRune instantly said “Yo.” and asked “Join our frat, yes?”

Like any wise man, BT14 eagerly said yes to OmniRune’s thinly-veiled plan for world domination. Nonetheless, BT14 gained the role of Pledgemaster in the impromu fraternity (from which TeamTG’s current mascot has its origins). It wasn’t long until OmniRune came clean and told him about the cult team called TeamTG and the games that they played (which at that time was Tribes II and Warcraft III).

In 2006/2007, BT14 joined the TeamTG Tribes Vengeance team and played as a defensive heavy. Not being very skilled at TeamSpeak, he left voice-activation on to the dismay of the rest of the team. “Freakin WTF omg AYIE i sux” was a frequent global announcement during one of our many lost challenging games.

After TeamTG disbanded the TV team, he was the temporary commander of the Day of Defeat team until time commitments summoned him away to look for a job. It was around this time that he made his historic move from Michigan to California to live in the Emerald Palace with OmniRune and his girlfriend, SpanishFly.

At the Emerald Palace, BT14 experienced his first TG Bash and he eagerly looks forward to his next one. He can be reached in IRC at screenname BT14, and if you are female, beware.

Around July 4th, 2009, TeamTG and friends will be invading the nations of Europe. Lead by OmniRune, they will explore the depths of their European brothers in their quest for knowledge, hunger, and passion.

We are a mature team based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, originally born out of Wolfenstein 3D / Doom. Our membership base comprises of IT and medical professionals, as well as university-going members. We range in age from 19 - 45, and we have equally as many men as women.

As such, we seek to recruit sensible, mature players who enjoy playing games during their off-hours from work and/or university studies. In addition to our base age bracket, we also would like to recruit younger members, as long as they are mature in persona and seek such in return.

TeamTG is a great team. Being around this team since 1994, the real spirit is in our IRC chatroom (www.teamtg.com/chat). We have scheduled our next LAN party to take place on the holiday weekend in February. From the 15th through the 18th, the sleepy TeamTGers will be gaming it up from the Dublin, CA Emerald Palace.

With a stronger emphasis on gaming during these cold winterly months,  the LAN party will debut our first in-person meeting for our Playstation 3 Warhawk leadership team. With two Playstation 3s networked, the living room will host a 4v4 game of Warhawk.

Meanwhile, in the rooms housing our PCs, we’ll play solid games of Starcraft, Unreal Tournament and Counterstrike/Tribes Vengeance. With fewer games to choose from, we’ll ensure long, in-depth gaming goodness.
