TEAMTG SUMMERBASH 2008 LAN PARTY
TRACY, CALIFORNIA

UNOFFICIALLY OPENED SUNDAY, AUGUST 24 @ 6 PM
OFFICIALLY STARTED FRIDAY, AUGUST 29 @ 6 PM
ENDED MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 @ 8 PM

The SummerBash 2008 LAN party has a hazy start time as Crasty and Guilty arrived early on Sunday night in order to compete for the world record making nvision LAN in San Jose, California. Upon their arrival back to the Tracy LAN location on Wednesday, they brought along Steef to begin some excellent gaming.

In the splended TeamTG tradition, the crew went for a photo shoot and then into town to get some much-needed essentials and grub to make it through the week. During the evening, they checked out the local pub and from their table watched the monthly lesbian meet and greet take place outside. Perfect timing.

OmniRune, Guilty, Crasty and Steef

Donned with pirate hats, they roamed the streets of Tracy in search of more fallen crow, only to catch the sight of a barn owl. Unafraid of Steef (and some may even say slightly fond), it wasn’t until Crasty’s face caught light of the street lamp did the owl spook and fly away.

Back at the party den, they played Unreal 2004 and Nexuiz. Topped with Rock band, worms, and Warhawk, they continued their console gaming during the horrific 109 degree heat wave.

Guilty, Crasty, Steef and Flicky

Watching movies on the projector, the group played Warcraft III and browsed the neighborhood after catching wind of another party. Armed with pirate hats, several members walked next door and discovered, at a point too late, that the other party was comprised of 14 year olds. In an effort for redemption, Steve asks “Hey, have you seen our friends?” The teenagers stood dumbfounded, and then in a brilliant flash of recognition, stated: “Oh! The pirates! We saw them walk that way!”

Flicky in the Pirate Hat

After some rounds of four-square and beer pong, the team made some jello shooters and did some dancing.

The next day was filled with much LAN gaming goodness, topped with a house party that night. With 200 jello shots, spirits, and a keg, the party managed to run the house dry with their rabid consumption and laugher until 6:30 AM. Just in time to watch the sun come right on back up.

  4. To meet your TG peers, and members of other teams, and to share and experience the TeamTG lifestyle
